As the COVID-19 epidemic continues to evolve throughout the world, Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance (SMI) is honored to announce a charitable contribution of $40,000 to United Way in order to help with their effort in providing necessary care for those that are most vulnerable during this unprecedented time.
“The world as we know it has changed. COVID-19 has brought upon us a time that we have never experienced. The recommended protocol of “self-isolation” is not achievable for some of our most vulnerable residents and it’s our duty to help in any way we can,” said Shelley Willick, President and CEO – Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance. “Our donation to United Way will help those that are facing barriers such as poverty and homelessness. We are all in this together.”
“Thank you to Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance Group for your support of our community with your generous donation to United Way. Our communities count on a network of local community-based organizations, like SMI, to ensure that help and support is there for those who need it the most,” said Sheri Benson, CEO – United Way of Saskatoon and Area.
SMI’s donation will benefit United Way chapters in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba.
