In the Season of Giving, Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance Donates Gift to STARS
Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance (SMI) is pleased to announce a charitable contribution for $33,000 to STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service) to support their fight to save lives throughout the Prairies.
“SMI understands the vital role that STARS plays in the Prairies. Every second counts in an emergency and with so many rural communities with limited resources, those precious seconds can add up to disastrous results,” said Shelley Willick, President, and CEO – Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance. “STARS has continued to provide an invaluable service to the communities that make us who we are today. We are proud to be able to offer this donation to support such an amazing cause.”
“The generous support from Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance will help STARS to continue fighting for the lives of critically ill and injured patients,” said Tammy Beauregard, STARS Development Officer – Major Gifts, “At STARS, it’s all about the patient, and we are thrilled that the support from SMI enables us to help Saskatchewan people when they need it the most.”
SMI presented the $33,000 donation to STARS on December 5, 2019 at the STARS Saskatoon hangar. The donation will be split evenly throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta to ensure lifesaving resources are accessible by all Prairie residents.
